As I looked out my window,
One bright May summer day,
I saw a rainbow in the sky
And quickly made my way,
With bucket and with spade in hand
To where it touched the ground,
For I knew at the rainbow’s end
Gold is all around.

The rainbow shone so brightly,
All red, yellow and blue,
With orange, green and indigo,
And violet colour too.
But though I walked far down the road
Right to the grassy mound,
I never saw the secret place
Where the rainbow touched the ground.

12. Rainbow's End
(Heikkilä - McGowan) Rainbows appear in quite a few of my songs and poems. I think I was always fascinated by the colours and the idea of the pot of gold where it touched the ground. Good job by Jore on the melody – and the vocals. --Davy

Hmm. Pretty little song. --Jore
